The followings are structural features of flat gate valve:

 

1. Flat gate valve has two floating seats. Every seat can seal two directions of media flowing. So, flat gate valve not only can realize two-direction sealing, but also can seal inlet and outlet at the same time. The valve seat adopts O-ring and spring applies preload on floating seat. When pressure inside mesocoele is larger than pressure inside piping because of valve expanding after being heated, pressure difference on two side of seat applied by media separates floating seat from disc, relieving pressure inside mesocoele to piping through the gap between disc and seat and protecting the valve effectively. Moreover, the torque of flat gate valve is only half of common valves, convenient for opening or closing valve easily. 

 

2. The sealing face of seat is inset with PTFE, having PTFE-to-metal sealing and metal-to-metal sealing. PTFE sealing face can eliminate abrasion of media on disc. The metal-to-metal hard sealing has strong sealing performance and abrasion resistance. Media inside piping contains various floating particles which have no influences on sealing pair, realizing zero-leakage. It can also compensate abrasion on sealing face automatically. 

 

3. Body and bonnet of flat gate valve are equipped with injection valve. Sealing greases enter into sealing face of seat through injection valve on body for assisting sealing, making sealing more reliable and zero-leakage.

 

4. For flat gate valve with deflector hole, the disc are always coinciding with sealing face, no matter whether the valve is on or off. The sealing face can be protected from being washed directly by media and enhance service life. When the valve is full in, the passageway is a straight line, having low fluid coefficient without pressure loss. The piping can be washed by ball.

 

5. Flat gate valve is full sealing structure. Exposed rod is protected by protective cover, preventing external impurities from entering actuator. 

 

6. As a leading product of piping valve, flat gate valve is widely applied, for its food sealing, high reliability and low cost.
