Working Principles and Features of Flanged Globe Valve

The closure member of flanged globe valve is a plug disc. The sealing face is plane or cone. The disc makes rectilinear motion along with center line of fluid. Structural styles of body include straight-through type, straight-way type and angle type. 
 
Working principles of flanged globe valve
Flanged globe valve is a kind of forced sealing valves. So, when close valve, pressure should be applied on disc to prevent pressure from occurring on sealing face. When media enter into body from the bottom of disc, resistance overcome by operating force is the thrust caused by friction by stem and packing and the pressure of media. The force used to close valve is larger than that used to open valve. So, the diameter of stem should be large, otherwise, stem may be bent. 
 
Features of flanged globe valve
1. Flange globe valve has compact structure, attractive appearance and excellent performance. Both disc and stem adopt loose connection structure, convenient for on-off. The stem has back sealing pair, which improves service life and sealing performance substantially.
2. Materials used for sealing pair of flanged globe valve are matched rationally. Friction between disc and seat is very low when valve operating, extending service life. 
3. The surface of stem has been nitrided, having good corrosion resistance and friction resistance. Packing adopts PTFE, having reliable sealing, convenience for on-off and low torque.
4. Flanged globe valve can be equipped with different flange standards and types of sealing face. It can also choose manual, gear operated, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and other kinds of driving ways to meet different customers' requirements.
