Moreover, flange ball valves have steady acid and alkali resistance and strong crush resistance, maintaining stability during usage. Disadvantages of flange ball valves include high cost and large weight. When be installed, flange ball valves need two or more people. In general, valves whose dimension ranges from DN15 to DN25 are used. Advantages of internal thread ball valves: the valves have low volume, which is convenient for installation. Internal thread ball valves are widely applied in home improvement, steam pipes and other small pipelines. The valves have low cost. So, factories do not need to pay high prices. Disadvantages of internal thread ball valves: disassembling is uneasy when the valves are damaged, particularly on trunnion pipelines. The valves also have poor pressure resistance. People usually choose the valves whose dimensions below DN50.
In summary, flange ball valves and internal thread ball valves have their own advantages and disadvantages. Customer can choose types of ball valves according to their own service conditions. They share the same operating principles. The differences are that flange ball valves have higher prices and larger volume than internal thread ball valves.
